This Time Last Year, You Prayed for What You Have Now ✨🙏🏽

Be honest—have you caught yourself stressing over the next big thing?

You’re scrolling through social media, watching people “soft-lifeing” in Dubai 🌴, launching businesses 🚀, getting married 💍, or securing major wins 🎉.

And there you are, sighing, typing “God, when? 😩” in the comment section. Or maybe you’ve even dropped the infamous “God, am I a stick?” 🪵 under someone’s post.

🛑 But wait… What if your glow-up already started, and you just haven’t noticed?

🎯 Remember When You Prayed for This?

Flashback to this time last year…
You were praying for:
✅ A new job
✅ Admission into school
✅ A place to live
✅ Peace of mind
✅ A specific opportunity
✅ Even a gadget you thought you’d never afford

Now? You have some (or all) of those things. But instead of celebrating, you’re already anxious about the next level.

Pause. Take a deep breath. Relax.

We (yes, me too 🙋🏽‍♂️) tend to chase the next goal so fast that we forget to thank God for what’s already here.

Philippians 1:6 says:
📖 “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”

Translation? If God started it, He’s not leaving it unfinished. Even if the process isn’t loud, progress is still progress.

🔍 Why We Miss Our Own Glow-Ups

1️⃣ Comparison is Stealing Your Joy 😞
When you’re so focused on their wins, you miss your own. Their Chapter 10 isn’t your Chapter 1—your story is unfolding exactly how God planned it.

2️⃣ You’re Always Looking at the Next Big Thing 🎯
It’s good to dream big, but don’t skip the part where you celebrate what God has already done.

3️⃣ It Doesn’t Look Like You Expected 🤷🏽‍♀️
Sometimes, God answers prayers in ways that don’t look like your vision board. It may not be flashy, but it’s setting you up for something bigger.

💡 God’s Glow-Ups Hit Different

It’s not always about money 💰 or status 📈. Sometimes, it looks like:

Healing from what used to break you ❤️‍🩹
Having the peace you once begged for ☮️
Getting clarity on things that once confused you 💡
Becoming a better version of yourself 🙌🏾

Lamentations 3:23 reminds us:
📖 “His mercies are new every morning.”

Even when it feels like nothing is happening, God is still moving. 🚀

⏳ Don’t Wait Until “One Day” to Be Grateful

Your glow-up isn’t just in the future—it’s happening right now. Today.

Because this time last year, you were praying for some of the things you have now. 🎉

🙏🏽 Let’s Pray

Lord, help me see the blessings in my present season. Thank You for every answered prayer, even the ones I forgot to celebrate. Teach me to trust the process and appreciate the journey. Amen.
